Achilleion Palace Corfu 2027: Sissi, Tickets and Gardens
The Achilleion Palace in Gastouri, 10 km south of Corfu town, was built in 1890 as the summer villa of Empress Elisabeth of Austria (Sissi) — the most visited palace in Corfu.
Tickets and opening hours
€10 adult, €5 reduced, free for under 18s. Open daily 08:00-19:30 (summer), 08:30-15:30 (winter). Buy at the ticket office or online — no long queues except on cruise mornings.
What to see
The statue of the Dying Achilles commissioned by Sissi, the colossal Triumphant Achilles added by Kaiser Wilhelm II, the Italian gardens with panoramic views of the Ionian Sea, and the museum with Sissi's personal belongings.
How to get there
Bus 10 from Corfu town (G. Theotoki Square) every 90 min, €2.50. Car/taxi 15 min, €20 one way. Combine with Kanoni and Mouse Island.
