Founded 1542, the spiritual heart of Mykonos. Stunning carved Italian wooden iconostasis (1675), Byzantine icons, peaceful courtyard. Free entry, modest dress required (covering available at door). Open 09:00–13:00 and 15:00–19:00. Small ecclesiastical museum 2 €.

Plateia Ano Mera — tree-shaded square in front of the monastery, surrounded by 4–5 traditional tavernas. Lunch here for half the price of Chora.
