Cala Comte (Cala Conta) is Ibiza's most famous sunset beach — three coves of white sand, Caribbean-turquoise shallows and a horizon dotted with the islets of S'illa des Bosc and Es Vedrà beyond.

The beach

Three connected coves on the west coast (San José). Sand and flat rock platforms, snorkelling around the islets (15-min swim). Sunbeds 22-28 €/pair.

Sunset Ashram

The legendary Sunset Ashram on the cliff plays chilled DJ sets from 18:00; sunset 20:30 in July, 19:00 in October. Cocktails 16-22 €. Reserve a table — walk-ins wait 1 h+.

Eat

Sunset Ashram (Med, mains 24-38 €), S'illa des Bosc (fresh fish, 28-45 €, beachfront), Cala Conta Restaurant (paella 26 €/p).

Parking

Two paid lots, 5 €/day, 600-spot capacity. Fills by 11:00 in August. Bus 4 from San Antonio (3 €, every 30 min in summer).

Stay in a villa in San José or San Agustín and combine with a boat day to Es Vedrà and Atlantis.
