Canal d'Amour Sidari Corfu 2027: Sandstone Cliffs, Legend & Swim Spots
Canal d'Amour ("Channel of Love") is a series of narrow sandstone channels carved by the sea on Corfu's north coast at Sidari — wind- and wave-sculpted cliffs, turquoise pools and a famous legend.
The legend
Couples who swim through the main channel together are said to stay together forever. Solo swimmers who pass through find their true love. Believer or not — the swim itself is gorgeous.
How to swim it
Walk down the wooden stairs from the cliff path. The main channel is 30 m long, 2 m wide — calm in good weather, dangerous with north wind (waves slam the walls). Goggles useful. Free.
The cliff walk
15 min loop along the eroded cliffs — three viewpoints, all signposted. Best for photos: late afternoon (golden sandstone). Sunset spot 5 min west.
Sidari town
Touristy but practical — tavernas, supermarkets, parking 3 €/day. Stay 1 km west for quieter beaches (Logas / Sunset Beach).
Stay in a villa near Sidari or Roda and combine with a boat day to the Diapontia islands.
