Costa Rei Sardinia 2027: 8 km White Sand, Scoglio Peppino & Cala Sinzias
Costa Rei is an 8 km white-sand strip on Sardinia's south-east coast, 50 km east of Cagliari — Caribbean-clear water, far less crowded than Costa Smeralda.
The three beaches
Costa Rei main beach (8 km, free access, sunbeds 20 €/pair in front of Hotel Free Beach). Scoglio di Peppino (south end, photogenic granite rock just offshore, snorkeling). Cala Sinzias (north end, pine-backed dunes, 5 min by car).
Parking
Free along the SP97 coastal road and at the main entrances. Paid lots 5 €/day near the hotels in August. Arrive before 10:30 to park near the sand.
Eat on the beach
Su Tirableddu (kiosk, panini 8 €, granitas), Free Beach Club (restaurant, mains 18-26 €). Aperitivo at Sa Cardiga e Su Schironi in Villasimius (15 min).
Combine with
Villasimius port for boat trips to Capo Carbonara marine reserve, or the spectacular Cala Pira 10 min north.
Stay in a villa in Costa Rei or Villasimius and combine with a private boat to Capo Carbonara.
