The town
Founded in 1771 as Georgetown by the British, with a strict grid layout, a central parade square (Plaça Esplanada, military museum 4 €) and pastel colonial houses. 5 min east of Mahon, 10 min from MAH airport.
Cales Fonts quay
Tiny U-shaped cove with 15 restaurants right on the water — tables touch the harbour rail, fishing boats moored at your feet, sunset over the port lights up at 21:00 in summer. The Menorcan dinner moment.
