Giardini di Augusto (Gardens of Augustus) are terraced gardens in Capri town, offering the island's most iconic view — the Faraglioni rocks and the hairpins of Via Krupp from above.

From the lower terrace: Faraglioni stacks to the left, Marina Piccola below, and the dramatic switchbacks of Via Krupp carved into the cliff. Best light: morning (10:00-12:00) for blue sea.

1 € entry, daily 9:00-19:30 (April-October), 9:00-17:00 (winter). Pay at the small kiosk — no online sales needed.
Via Krupp
The path itself (built 1902 by Friedrich Alfred Krupp) zigzags 100 m down to Marina Piccola — closed since 1976 due to rockfall, but reopens periodically. Check at the kiosk. When closed, walk to Marina Piccola via Via Mulo (20 min).

5 min walk from Piazzetta. Pair with Certosa di San Giacomo monastery next door (free, 14th-c. cloister) before lunch in Capri town.
