Glyfada on Corfu's west coast is a 500-m crescent of soft golden sand backed by cliffs — one of the island's best organised beaches and the king of west-coast sunsets.
Sunbeds
Three operators along the beach: front row 25 €/2 pax, second row 18 €. Beach umbrellas come free with sunbeds. Free section at the south end (50 m).
Beach bars
Aloha (north, palm-thatched, DJ from 17:00), La Grotta sister bar (south, more relaxed). Greek salad 12 €, grilled octopus 18 €.
Sunset
20:30 in July, 19:45 in September. The cliffs frame the sun perfectly. Sunset cocktail at Aloha rooftop deck 14 €.
Access from Pelekas
15 min by car from Pelekas village (steep road). Free bus from Pelekas square every hour 10:00-19:00. Parking 4 €/day.
