Kato Mili Windmills Mykonos 2027: Sunset, Photos & History
The Kato Mili windmills are Mykonos's defining image — five whitewashed 16th-century mills lined up on a hill above Little Venice, facing the sunset.
Best sunset spot
The bench area below the mills, 19:30 in July-August. Get there 45 min early — it fills up. The opposite hill (above Little Venice) has fewer crowds and frames the mills with the sea.

History
Built by Venetians in the 16th century to mill barley exported to mainland Greece. Active until the 1960s. One mill (Boni) is restored and open as a free museum (10:00-14:00).

10-min walk down to Little Venice for dinner, then Caprice Bar for the famous sea-spray cocktails.
