The market (Tue & Sat morning)
07:00–13:00, year-round. Provençal produce: tapenade, olive oil from Ramatuelle, goat cheese from the Maures, lavender, fabrics, espadrilles. Best stalls: Maison Bremond (oil, olives), Saveurs du Sud (tapenade), Fromagerie Roux (cheeses), Sénéquier bakery (tarte tropézienne 8 €). Lunch nearby at Le Sporting (steak frites 28 €).
The cafés
Café des Arts (now Le Café) — Sagan, Vadim, Bardot drank here. Espresso 4 €, croque-monsieur 18 €. Sénéquier (5 min walk on port) — red chairs, the most photographed café in France, espresso 6 €. Lazy lunch at the square: Le Petit Charron.
Pétanque
Players gather all afternoon under the planes. The 1898 official boulodrome. Free to watch (small etiquette: don't walk through games). Annual Bravade de Saint-Tropez tournament in May.

5 min walk to Vieux Port, 10 min to La Ponche old fishing quarter, Musée de l'Annonciade (impressionists, 6 €) 3 min walk.
