Plage des Salins Saint-Tropez 2027
Plage des Salins is Saint-Tropez's underrated family beach — 600 m of fine sand on the east side of the peninsula, calmer water than Pampelonne, free parking and no VIP door policy.
Why it's calmer
East-facing, sheltered from the mistral. Water stays calm even when Pampelonne is choppy. Less famous, so fewer crowds and no celebrity hunters.
Parking (free)
Large free dirt lot 150 m from the beach. Rare in Saint-Tropez. Arrive before 11:00 in August or look at the second lot 300 m south.
Beach clubs
Only two on the entire beach: Les Salins (Mediterranean lunch 50-70 €, sunbed 35 €/pax) and La Plage des Salins (more casual, salads 22 €). Free section between them and at both ends.
Walk to La Bouillabaisse Cove
15-min coastal path north to Cap de Saint-Tropez and the wild Cala de la Bouillabaisse — small natural cove.
Stay in a villa in the Salins area for walking access or in Ramatuelle 10 min away.
