Playa de Muro is Mallorca's longest Blue Flag beach — 6 km of fine white sand on the Bay of Alcúdia, with the S'Albufera wetlands natural park right behind.

The four sectors

Sector 1 (Las Gaviotas) — family hotels, lifeguards, all services. Sectors 2-3 — quieter, dunes, beach bars. Sector 4 (Es Comú) — wild, no services, naturist-tolerant, protected dune system.

Water & sports

Shallow (waist-deep 50 m out), kid-safe. Windsurf and SUP rentals 25 €/h, kitesurf school at Sector 2. Pedalos 15 €/h.

S'Albufera natural park

1,700 ha wetland — Mallorca's top birdwatching site (300+ species). Free entry, permit at visitor centre. Bike or walk the 5 km loop.

Eat

Royal Beach (lounge club, mains 22-35 €), Ponderosa Beach (Mediterranean, 20-32 €, sunset DJ), Casa Manolo (paella 24 €/p).

Stay in a villa in Alcúdia or Playa de Muro and combine with a boat day to Cap Formentor.
