Important: safety warning
Frequent landslides since 2019 — Greek authorities sign-post the descent as dangerous, access at your own risk. The footpath from the church is open but rocks fall regularly. Helmets recommended; never sit directly under the cliffs.
How to reach it
From Akrotiri village (10 min walk from Akrotiri Archaeological Site): park at the small church (free), then 10 min on a rocky path. Bus from Fira to Akrotiri 1.80 €, every 90 min. Taxi from Fira 25 €.
