Son Bou Menorca 2027: Longest Beach, Parking & Wetlands
Son Bou is Menorca's longest beach — 3 km of fine sand on the south coast, backed by the protected Albufera des Comte wetlands.
Parking
Two large free lots at the west end (resort access) and a paid one at the east end (5 €/day, closer to the wild section). Arrive before 11:00 in August.
Two zones
West (developed): hotels, sunbeds (22 €/day), chiringuitos, lifeguard. East (wild, 2 km of empty sand): no services, naturist friendly. Walk 25 min east for solitude.
Early Christian basilica
5th-century ruins at the east end of the beach, on a low cliff — free, always open.
Wetlands
Boardwalk through Albufera reserve behind the beach: flamingos, herons, ospreys. Best at dawn.
Stay in a villa in Sant Jaume or Alaior 10 min away and combine with a boat day along the south coast.
