Via Krupp Capri 2027: Zigzag Path, Reopening & Faraglioni View
Via Krupp is Capri's iconic zigzag staircase carved into the cliff in 1902, descending from the Gardens of Augustus to Marina Piccola — one of the most photographed paths in Italy.
Access status
The path itself is often closed for rockfall risk (it has been intermittently shut since 2008), but the famous panoramic view is from the Gardens of Augustus terrace — always open, 1.50 € entry.
What to see
From the terrace: the zigzag below, the Faraglioni on the left and Marina Piccola straight down. Best light early morning or 17:00-18:00. Combine with the Quisisana hotel street and Piazzetta on the way back.
