The Vieux Port — Saint-Tropez's stage: pastel facades on three sides, the world's most spectacular line-up of 60–100 m superyachts stern-to on the quai, and Sénéquier's red café chairs as the front row.
The yachts
From late May to September, the Quai Jean Jaurès and Quai Suffren host the world's most jaw-dropping superyacht line-up. Walk it twice — once at noon for hull-watching, once at dusk for the salon-lit interior peeking. Free, public.
Sénéquier
The legendary café (since 1887) with red chairs facing the yachts. Espresso 6 €, glass of rosé 12 €, club sandwich 28 €. No reservation, queues from 11:00 in August — go off-peak (10:00 or 17:00).
Annonciade Museum
14th-c chapel turned art museum, with Signac, Matisse, Bonnard, Derain — many of whom painted Saint-Tropez itself. 6 € entry, open 10:00–13:00 and 14:00–18:00 (closed Tue). On Place Grammont, 2 min from the port. Often the quietest spot in town.
Quai Jean Jaurès aperitif
Sit at Bar de la Renaissance (since 1928, drinks 14 €) or Le Café (Place des Lices) — same yacht parade, fewer tourists. Avoid the front-row tourist traps unless Sénéquier is the goal.
Capitainerie
Berth a yacht? Port Captain (+33 4 94 56 68 70), VHF 9. Berths 100–800 €/night for 20–50 m boats, book by April for July–August.
