Naveta des Tudons Menorca 2027: Talayotische UNESCO-site

Naveta des Tudons — Menorca's meest iconische prehistorische monument, een 3500 jaar oud collectief bronstijdgraf dat eruitziet als een omgekeerde boot ("naveta" = scheepje). Sinds 2023 onderdeel van UNESCO-inschrijving Talayotisch Menorca.

Wat het is

Gebouwd tussen 1200–750 v.Chr. Tweelaagse grafkamer, 14 m lang, 7 m breed, 5 m hoog, van grote droogstapelstenen zonder mortel. Opgegraven in 1959 — meer dan 100 skeletten, bronzen armbanden, aardewerk.

Tickets & toegang

2 € volwassene, gratis onder 12. Dagelijks open mei–oktober 09:00–20:00, winter 09:30–15:00. Klein bezoekerscentrum. Maandag dicht in winter. 5 min lopen vanaf parkeerplaats (gratis, bewegwijzerd op weg Ciutadella–Maó, km 40).

UNESCO-combiticket Talayotisch

Combiticket 6 € — dekt Naveta + Torre d'en Galmés (grootste talayotische nederzetting, 22 km verderop, 1 u bezoek) + Talatí de Dalt (15 km van Maó, prachtige taula). Reken op halve dag.

De talayotische cultuur

Menorca heeft meer dan 1500 bronstijdsites — talayots (torens), navetas (graven), taulas (T-vormige heiligdommen). De taula van Talatí de Dalt en het dorp Trepucó (2 km van Maó, gratis) zijn het meest toegankelijk. De Cova d'en Xoroi (Cala en Porter, nu zonsondergangbar) was ook talayotisch.

Oude stad Ciutadella 7 km westelijk (lunch in Es Tast de na Silvia, 40 €/pp). Strand Cala Morell 12 km noordelijk.
